The Calypso Earrings, in hand-brushed 18k Gold Vermeil, draw on inspiration from the ancient culture of the Minoans. Around 3,000 BC, signs of a new civilization on the island of Crete started to emerge; the Minoans were sea-faring traders who introduced new techniques and knowledge wherever they went. The Minoans created incredibly detailed earthenware which has influenced the form of these sophisticated earrings, bringing forth maturing artistic styles.
